One-by-one, Using VIN Decoder add-on
We sell a VIN-decoding add-on that simplifies adding vehicles one-by-one in the WordPress dashboard.
What is VIN-decoding?
VIN decoding is the process of translating the unique alphanumeric identifier assigned to every vehicle by the manufacturer (the Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN) into specific information about the vehicle. This information can include the make and model of the vehicle, the year it was manufactured, the location of manufacture, and various other details about the vehicle’s features and specifications.
The VIN is typically 17 characters long and consists of a combination of letters and numbers. Each character in the VIN represents a specific piece of information about the vehicle. For example, the first character in the VIN may represent the country of manufacture, while the second and third characters may represent the manufacturer. The remaining characters may represent various details about the vehicle, such as the model, body style, engine type, and so on.
VIN decoding is often used by mechanics, auto dealers, and other professionals who work with vehicles to identify specific parts and components that are needed for repair or maintenance. It can also be used by consumers to verify the authenticity and history of a vehicle before purchasing it.

Feeds
Often, dealerships manage inventory on one software platform and rely on that entity to transmit their vehicle data and photos everywhere else they need.
What are inventory feeds?
Car dealer inventory feeds are a way for car dealerships to list their inventory of vehicles for sale online. These feeds typically consist of a list of vehicles, along with information about each vehicle, such as the make and model, year, price, and features.
Car dealer inventory feeds can be used by third-party websites, such as car search engines or classifieds sites, to display a dealership’s inventory to potential buyers. These feeds can be updated in real-time, so that the online inventory always reflects the current availability of vehicles at the dealership.
Dealerships may use car dealer inventory feeds to list their inventory on a variety of different platforms, including their own website, as well as third-party sites. This allows them to reach a wider audience of potential buyers, and makes it easier for consumers to find and compare vehicles from different dealerships.

What is the WordPress REST API?
The REST API provides a way for applications to retrieve and update data from a WordPress site, as well as perform other tasks, such as creating and deleting content. Developers can use the REST API to create applications that can be used with any WordPress site, as long as the site has the REST API enabled.
